- Background/Discussion:
As the Medical Mental Health Facility project neared completion, several items necessary for facility occupancy and operations are being purchased. During the review of project expenditures, it was determined that certain items do not qualify as construction costs and should be accounted for as equipment/small tools costs.
The requested budget transfer will move $40,000 from Construction in Progress (55200) to Minor Equipment/Small Tools (53400) within the Medical Mental Health Project Budget. The transfer will provide funding for items required to support facility operations, including waste receptacles, personal computers, and other miscellaneous equipment necessary for the facility to become fully operational. This budget transfer does not increase the overall project budget and is being requested solely to align expenditures with the appropriate accounting classifications.

This item is being brought directly to the Board of Supervisors as a routine budget transfer request.

Move existing appropriation within overall FY 2025-2026 budget from Construction in Progress to Minor Equipment/Small Tools.

Total estimated cost of project $20,725,000. Grant from Senate Bill 863 is $20 million and County contribution is $725,000.
