- Recommendation:
- It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Health and Human Services Department (HHSD) and Ampla Health to provide enrollment and ongoing linkages to programs from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
Background
Access to quality medical care aids to ensure physical and mental health needs of residents are met. HHSD is responsible for administering the Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and CalWORKs programs.
Discussion
The purpose of this agreement is to provide community members with convenient access and assistance with applying for and maintaining enrollment in HHS administered programs. These services include but are not limited to:
Completing and submitting applications for Medi-Cal, CalFresh and CalWORKs programs.
Maintaining Medi-Cal, CalFresh and CalWORKs benefits.
Submitting verification(s) and required documents.
Acting as a liaison with HHSD.
