Approve agreement with California Department of Public Health for the COVID-19 Outreach and Rapid Deployment data use
- Health and Human Services Department
- Health and Human Services: Approve agreement with California Department of Public Health for the COVID-19 Outreach and Rapid Deployment data use, and authorize Chair to execute.
- It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Agreement between the County of Yuba, on behalf of its Health and Human Services Department, and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for the COVID-19 Outreach and Rapid Deployment (CORD) data use.
The CORD tool is part of California’s data driven approach to focus on equity across the state. Currently, CORD contains real time vaccination rate data broken into census tracts. The long term plan is for all State and local entities involved in the vaccination efforts to utilize CORD for timely coordination of vaccination outreach and implementation. This enhanced coordination will allow monitoring of vaccination efforts across various indicators (population based, place based, and insurance based).
This agreement will permit exchange of CORD information between Yuba County Public Health and CDPH. As a public service, CDPH, the Labor and Workforce Development Agency, California Department of Social Services and other State agencies, publish data, data tables, information, content files, documents and material on the CORD Platform.
The Human Services Committee was bypassed due to no General Fund impact or County match and time constraints.
